"Crime Doesn't Pay, Crime Stoppers Does"
Who Is Crime Stoppers of Yakima County Crime Stoppers of Yakima County is a non-profit organization made up of concerned citizens united with the efforts of law enforcement agencies. The program spreads the word about fugitives and unsolved crimes, increasing the chance of capture or solving crimes.

Private Citizens Eighty-five percent of all felony crimes are solved through assistance of private citizens. As an anonymous caller or a contributor of time or money, YOU become a part of Crime Stoppers of Yakima County. The Board of Directors is made up of private citizens from throughout the Yakima County area.
The Community Crucial funding comes from local citizens and the business community through donations and in-kind contributions. Donations can be accepted on the left. You can also contact the Crime Stoppers of Yakima County at 509-248-9980 to find out how you or your business can get involved in contributing to Crime Stoppers.
The Media Through donation of public service space and time, local media has been committed to bringing the message to the public to help solve crime and find wanted persons. Each week a unsolved crime or fugitive is featured by KAPP-TV every Wednesday during the evening news. The Yakima Herald also publishes 2 fugitives every Monday along with the Penny Press and VIVA. Also check Washington's Most Wanted, airing on Saturday nights at 10:00pm.
Cash Overcomes Apathy - Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 to people who provide information which leads to the arrest of felons or solving of felony crimes. Reward amounts are determined and are approved by the Board Memebers.
Anonymity Overcomes Fear - Callers to Crime Stoppers do not have to reveal their identity. This helps the tipster overcome the fear of involvement. To get started and help find fugitives and solve unsolved crimes click the links to the left.
What's Next? - If you know the location of any fugitive please call us at 248-9980, 800-248-9980 or 800-222-TIPS. You'll be asked to provide the information you know and a password. Your information is then passed onto the appropriate law enforcement agency to act on it. If the fugitive is picked up on your tip you will be rewarded! You will be provided further instructions after the fugitive's apprehension.
**At no time is Crime Stoppers responsible for how the law enforcement agency responds. We are only the messangers of your information. If there are any concerns as to how the information was acted on you must contact that law enforcement agency.**
Reward Information and Conditions Any person, except as restricted below, who directly contacts Crime Stopperse of Yakima County and gives information which leads to the arrest and filing of charges against an adult or juvenile, or arrest of a fugitive wanted in a felony case, will be eligible for a reward. Crime Stoppers of Yakima County pays a cash reward of up to $1,000.00 but will will not pay rewards for information provided through any source other than calls to its program. The following individuals are not eligible for reward:
1. A commissioned law enforcement officer or other employees of law
enforcement agencies and members of their immediate family.
2. Perpetrator or co-perpetrator of the crime if known.
3. Victim of the crime and members of their immediate family.
4. The fugitive.
5. Bail Bonds Agents or their Associates.
